Abstract
The Romanian vocabulary is constantly evolving being strongly influenced by the phenomenon of globalization increasing migration and the unprecedented closeness between various cultures traditions races religious beliefs and lifestyles In recent decades there has been a growing tendency to adopt terms from other languages particularly from English while preserving their original form both phonetically and orthographically In the field of fashion and the color industry a series of chromatic terms based on colors such as white black and red circulate in the Romanian as xenisms while also functioning in their translated and adapted forms according to orthographic and phonetic norms Some of these terms are phrases formed based on the prototype color and compositional elements Although most of them are not attested in dictionaries they still contribute to the constant enrichment of the Romanian lexicon adapting it to new realities and social and technological developments.
