Abstract
The strategic communication addresses the common features and differences between general and specialized language in the context of technical-scientific progress and the democratization of knowledge in recent decades. The contributions of important linguists, such as Eugen Coseriu, Maria Teresa Cabré, Iorgu Iordan and Ion Coteanu are reviewed, highlighting relevant perspectives on the structuring and functionality of specialized languages. Also, the major challenges encountered in the legal translation process are analyzed: the difficulty of equating the terminology of the Italian language in Romanian, the fixed formulas of the notarial speech and the discrepancies between the legal systems of the two countries. This study highlights the need to maintain a balance between legal rigor and linguistic comprehensibility of the text, with an emphasis on the role of the translation in facilitating the understanding of documents without compromising their legal validity in the context of translation. The evolution of the legal language and the terminological adaptation to the current needs of communication represent an essential direction of reflection, especially in the context of the democratization of knowledge and the increasing access to information.
