Victor Cirimpei – contributions to the research of the Romanian mythological mental

Abstract

Examination of ethnological studies of Victor Cirimpei, predominantly those related to autochthonous romanian mythology, demonstrates once again the depth of a researcher thinking equally concerned not only mythology, but also ethnic thracian-daco- romanian constituent, comic folklore, literary history and criticism. This approach comes to shape one investigational side of the renowned folklorist (reached the honorable age of 80 years), as evidence of the many achieved in modern romanian ethnology. Impresses not only scientific results reached by the investigator when proceeding to examine a subject of mythology, but also the method how such drains, faces, compares with the eloquent presents in system conceptions of ancient peoples of the world. Exegete value consistes in investigation of some segments less studied in Romanian folklore, in identification of inedite topics, that contribute to development of science and filling the evidence gaps in the research domain.
