Abstract
In this critical essay I have tried to emphasize how the reception of Aldous Huxley’s work took place in the interwar period in Romanian literature, Aldous Huxley being one of the greatest English authors of all time, becoming a model for Romanian novelists like Anton Holban or Mircea Eliade, but also a field of research for several essayists, who turned his literature into a target, their approach resulting in a hermeneutics of Aldous Huxley’s work. My intention was also to analyze a critical essay by N. Steinhardt, a fine and passionate connoisseur of Aldous Huxley’s perennial philosophy, and to compare this text with his entire work essay.
