Abstract
In the literature Romanian of Bessarabia from the 1960s to the 80s of the last century, Peter Path illustrates the type of dissident writer. In the most accomplished volume „Arrows” (1972), the poet is distinguished by several subversive epigrams, which is why the book was stolen from bookstores. Among the favorite themes are the drama of alienation, the destiny of the Romanian language in the space between Prut and Nistru, the humble existence of the little man, all of which, under the conditions of political censorship, are expressed inventively, in an indirect form, with contextual ambiguities and much courage in the time of the totalitarian regime.
